Shady Grove Restaurant
Shady Grove Restaurant is one of the best places in town to eat outdoors on the patio the old fashioned way. Eating here is especially "Austin" after a day at Zilker Park or after a walk on Lady Bird Lake. A stylized '50s theme mixes with reliably good Tex-Mex, American, and health-nut fare. This place can get extremely crowded, so go when you have time to wait for a table. Have a beverage, enjoy the outdoors, and watch the beautiful people. Through the summer months Shady Grove is a great spot to see top-notch local musicians perform for the "Unplugged at the Grove" concert series presented by local radio station KGSR.
